Plastics is a photographic series created to display themes in objects to feel absurd and surreal. The aesthetic is meant to look minimal, sterile, and odd at the same time. The goal was to take everyday found objects that teases us on our ideals about conventional beauty and how that can be translated when those standards become sterile. How can one challenge these qualities in a quirky, weird, and playful way. While these I am working with these themes I wanted the playful nature of these objects to shine through first through evocative and thoughtful still life arrangements.
The photo shoot was shot through a tabletop set up with backdrop, lighting, composition and props were all produced from me.
